‘Our Rabb! Forgive us and those of our brothers who preceded us in faith, and do not place in ourhearts any rancour against those who believe; Surely, Our Lord, you are Very-Kind, Very-Merciful.’ (59:10)
The hypocrites would continuously make false promises, which Allāh exposed.
The hypocrites would only fight if they knew they had more of a chance of surviving. Their relations between themselves were extremely fragile, and disputes rife. On the outset, it looked as if they were a united bunch, yet their hearts were divided.
One way of achieving taqwā is to continuously ponder over what deeds you have sent forth for the Hereafter.
If you forget Allāh, He will cause you to forget yourself.
Allāh has many beautiful names; we should learn them and call Him by them.
