Lessons from Sūrah 60 - Sūrat Al-Mumtaḥinah

Do not befriend the enemies of Allāh.
Allāh is most aware of what we conceal and what we make apparent.
If Allāh decides to punish you in the Hereafter due to your deeds, no relations or offspring can benefit you in any way.
For us in Ibrāhīm عليه السلام is the best example in announcing innocence from the disbelievers and their disbelieving creed.
Make this du‘ā often:
‘O our Rabb! In You alone we trust, and to You alone we turn for help, and to You is the final return. Our Rabb! Do not make us persecuted by those who disbelieve, and our Rabb! Forgive us, You, only You, are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.’ (60:4-5)
Allāh does not prohibit from doing good and justice to those who do not fight the Muslims.
Allāh only prohibits from befriending those who fight the Muslims on the basis of their religion, and exile them or help others in doing so.
