The Reality of Nightmares


Abū Nu‘aym رحمه الله mentions a narration in his book Ḥilyat-Al-Awliyā’, that when a person would ask Ibn Sīrīn رحمه الله regarding [the interpretations of] dreams, he would say:

“Fear Allāh whilst you are awake; whatever you see in your dreams will not harm you.”[1]
