‘Uthmān رضي الله عنه ‘s Standing in Ṣalāh
It has been narrated from ‘Abdur Raḥmān At-Taymī رحمه الله that he said:
“I said to myself one night, ‘Today, nobody will beat me standing in ṣalāh tonight,’ so I started my ṣalāh. I then noticed the shuffling of a man behind me, and I found it to be ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Affān رضي الله عنه, so I moved a little to the side, upon which he came forward and started reciting the Qur’ān, until he finished it [in one rak‘ah!], then went into rukū‘ and sajdah…”
