The Advice of Imām Al-Ghazālī رحمه الله


Imām Al-Ghazāli رحمه الله said:

“From among the duties of the laymen are that they believe [in Allāh] and submit [to His Will], and engage in their worship and everyday matters, leaving matters of [Islamic knowledge] to the ‘Ulamā, because that layman who commits adultery and robbery, is better than the one who comments on ‘ilm. Whoever speaks regarding Allāh or His Dīn without having perfection in ‘ilm will fall into disbelief unknowingly, like a person who surfs the waves of the ocean without knowing how to swim.”[1]

من يركب لجة البحر وهو لا يعرف السباحة ومكايد الشيطان فيما يتعلق بالعقائد والمذاهب لا تحصر...
