The month of Rajab is the 7th month in the Islamic Hijrī calendar. It is one of the four sacred months that have been mentioned in the Qur’ān in the verse:

... إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ...
